Teresa Lyons

CEO & Mental Health Clinician, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Teresa’s journey into mental health began when a family member faced challenges accessing services in Alaska, sparking her transition to becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. With a background in surgical and intensive care nursing, management, and biomedical research, Teresa brings a unique perspective to her role. 

Holding credentials as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, she specializes in children and adolescent psychiatric assessment, age-appropriate psychotherapy, and medication management, extending her expertise to treatment-resistant depression and Ketamine services with psychotherapy for adults. Teresa’s approach revolves around creating space for individuals to recognize their own voices recommending choices based on standards of care and evidence-based information. 

In her professional life, Teresa, a thespian scholarship recipient, believes in the importance of joy and embraces hobbies such as reading, travelling, Health Policy writing and dragons. Her community involvement includes past roles in the Girl Scouts, the Alaska Nurses Association, and active membership in College Rotary, reflecting her commitment to making a positive impact on individuals and communities.

Nicole Sharpe

Mental Health Clinician, PMHNP-BC

Nicole Sharpe (she/her) is a 2nd year PMHNP resident at ND Systems, providing medication management and psychotherapy. She received her undergraduate education at the University of Colorado, Boulder, obtaining a degree in sociology and public health with a focus on gender and sexuality. Nicole is passionate about gender-affirming care and meeting the needs of queer, trans, and non-binary folks in the Fairbanks community. She received her Masters in Nursing at the University of California, San Francisco where she completed her clinical experience in community health nursing, oncology, and HIV. Starting nursing school at the beginning of the COVID pandemic fueled her passion for access to mental health services and individualized patient-centered care.

She caters her therapeutic approach to her client’s unique needs, approaching each client through the bio-psycho-social-structural-historical model. “I believe our mental health is shaped by the context of our environments, ancestral lineage, and life experiences.” She strongly believes in learning and growing with you.

In her free time, she enjoys doing her own trauma work as well as appreciating nature, creating art, nurturing relationships, and building community.

Jaylene Day

Mental Health Clinician, MSW

Jaylene comes to ND Systems with over 20 years of experience in Social Work. She recently completed her Master’s from the University of Southern California in 2022 and is pleased to be able to continue serving her beloved community of Fairbanks.

Specializing in trauma, child protection system involvement, and supporting domestic violence survivors, Jaylene’s expertise extends to cases with legal ramifications for both adults and children. Her approach to care is shaped by a personalized commitment to each individual patient. Jaylene works with both youth and adults and is trained in EMDR treatment modalities

Krystie Simon

Office Administrator

Krystie Simon is a born and raised Alaskan from the small village of Ruby, located on the Yukon River. She graduated as a Certified Medical Assistant in Anchorage, AK, in 2011. From 2012 to 2013, she worked in her village as a Community Health Aide before moving back to Fairbanks, where she spent six years working as a Medical Assistant.

She is currently on track to graduate with a Healthcare Reimbursement Certificate from UAF in the summer of 2025 and plans to continue her education in the fall, pursuing an Associate’s Degree in Business with a concentration in Applied Management.

Krystie is passionate about working in the healthcare field and helping others. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and creating lasting memories with her two daughters.

Sharon Geraghty

Chief Clinical Officer & Mental Health Clinician, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Sharon was born and raised in Alaska and graduated with a master’s in nursing from the University of Alaska Anchorage as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She provides her clients with counselling and medication management services.   

Sharon especially enjoys working with children and youth, and finding the right treatment fit is what Sharon does best. Sharon is well-versed and comfortable with many currently available approaches to treat difficulties with attention and focus. She utilizes medication, counselling, neurofeedback, and alternative teaching methods in the way kids think, which can be in 3 dimensions.  You might see Sharon helping her clients work on spelling words with clay, doing cross-mid-line exercises, or working on pattern recognition. 

Sharon has also completed a fellowship in Integrative Psychiatry and is happy to explore diet, exercise, and supplement approaches to treating symptoms alongside other treatment options.

Sharon enjoys spending time with friends, exploring the outdoors, cooking, sewing, knitting, and personal growth in her leisure time.

Alissa Knott

Mental Health Clinician, MSW

Alissa is a caring and experienced mental health clinician who is passionate about helping children, adolescents, and families thrive. She earned her Master of Social Work from Louisiana State University and has worked across both mental health and child welfare settings. This broad background gives her valuable insight into the challenges that individuals and families face.

Alissa believes that every person brings their own strengths and experiences to the table, and she values building a trusting partnership with her clients. She takes a person-centered approach, focusing on growth and healing through strong, supportive relationships.

Her work is guided by approaches like cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, family systems theory, and psychoeducation. With a special focus on trauma-informed care, Alissa walks alongside her clients—helping them build coping skills, work through past experiences, and create a path toward resilience and lasting well-being

Tara Duncan

Lead Office Administrator & Clinical Nurse

Tara was born and raised in Oregon. She obtained her Certification as a Medical Assistant in 2000. Over the years, she has worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including Pediatrics, General Medicine, Gastroenterology, Pain Management, and Hematology/Oncology at OHSU.

Tara made her move to Alaska in 2013 and then obtained her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from UAA in 2018. Prior to joining the ND Systems team as an RN/Mental Health Clinician, she worked in Home Health as a Nurse Manager and Home Healthcare and Hospice Nurse.

While Tara works out of our Kenai location, her roles serve all locations.  

Jean Drobnick

Billing Administration (Serves All Locations)

Jean was born in upstate New York and raised in Alaska. She earned her teaching degree from the University of Northern Colorado and spent ten years teaching Kindergarten through 2nd grade. In 1991, she returned to Alaska to raise her children and be closer to her family. Upon her return, she transitioned into the medical billing field, where she built a 25-year career. Her work spanned various areas, including home infusion billing and pharmacy billing. Additionally, she co-founded a local home health care business with her siblings, managing the company’s billing operations.

Jean finds joy in spending time with her two children, three grandchildren, and her Great Pyrenees dog, Bjorn. She is an avid hockey enthusiast and takes great pride in watching her children coach and her grandchildren play the sport. Beyond hockey, she enjoys photography, quilting, crafts, painting, music, and exploring the outdoors.

Justine Lyons

Human Resources and Internal Legal Council

Justine is a dedicated human resources and legal consultant with a rich background that uniquely blends her rural Canadian upbringing and extensive professional experience. Growing up in a close-knit community, she developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for collaboration and support.
With a diverse career spanning various departments within the Federal Government, Justine has honed her skills in navigating complex regulatory frameworks and fostering effective workplace environments. Her subsequent pursuit of a legal career further enhanced her expertise, allowing her to merge her passion for helping others with her legal acumen.

Justine’s commitment is evident in her proactive approach to problem-solving and her ability to provide strategic guidance in both human resources and legal matters. She is recognized as an invaluable asset in her field, known for her empathetic approach and unwavering dedication.

Outside of her professional endeavors, Justine enjoys exploring the natural beauty of Alaska, where she spends quality time outdoors with her husband and children. Her love for adventure and family reflects her belief in the importance of balance between work and personal life.

Donna Woodkey-Dinsmore

Chief Internal Consultant, MBA, RN, CNC

 Donna believes that implementing the principles of good management and leadership lead to excellence in patient/client care. Her many years of experience in nursing and healthcare have provided a foundation for her position with ND Systems. In addition, she brings expertise in facilitating both new and existing organizations in complying with various regulatory requirements. Donna enjoys the indirect positive impact on client care and the mentoring relationships that her position provides.

When not working, Donna enjoys doing medical mission work, watching the young adults and children in her life play a variety of sports and gardening,

Nik Lyons

Nikolas Lyons

CFO, CIO

Nikolas was raised in Alaska and has a love for its natural beauty and outdoor recreation. He received his Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering in 2011 at Clarkson University and has since built a successful career in the technology field. For the first 10 years of his career, he worked as both a business analyst and enterprise architect before taking on his current role as the Chief Information Officer at ND Systems in 2017. 

In his free time, he enjoys hiking, fishing, and spending quality time with his two kids. Nikolas brings his passion for both technology and the great outdoors to his work, and he is always looking for ways to improve and innovate. He is excited to continue growing and making a positive impact in his role at ND Systems.

Yuliya Jordan

Director of Accounting

Yuliya is an experienced Accounting Director with an MBA in Accounting and over 15 years of working with various businesses. Originally from Ukraine, she has called Alaska home for the past 18 years.

When she’s not crunching numbers, she loves traveling, hiking, and staying active.

Jordana Armstrong

Director of Marketing, Recruitment, BSc Psych

Jordana lives and breathes communication and holds the belief that truly great marketing can change the world for the better.  Her unique educational combination, pairing an undergraduate in psychology and post-graduate work in advertising, has brought insight into how to create mutual connections.  She uses a data-driven approach and mindful marketing techniques that focus on building lasting relationships and being not just heard but understood. 

When she’s not working on messaging and connections, Jordana can be found playing with her house rabbit, tending to her garden, or firing up the BBQ!
